1115 S. Sunset Avenue, West Covina
Citrus Valley Health Care Partners oversees four Hospitals in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern Calif: Queen of the Valley Campus West Covina, Inter-Community Campus Covina, 1st Presbyterian Hospital Glendora, and Citrus Hospice Covina
Both breakfast and lunch are being provided generously by the hospital.
Host and Presenter
Chaplain Albert Aguilar, BCC
Corporate Director of Citrus Valley Health Partners.
Serving SCCA as Member at Large (Hospital) on our Board of Directors
Al will present a compelling and comprehensive overview of how chaplains interact with the health care system.
Come hear how a chaplain from outside the hospital (such as a chaplain from a police agency, fire department, or church) navigates the hospital hierarchy and regulations to be allowed to visit officially with a patient. Learn how to interface with hospital chaplains that you meet as a result of call outs.
Al’s passion for hospital chaplaincy is contagious. When he talks about the state of health care coupled with chaplaincy and hospice, he captures his audience because of his experience and his love for the people he works with and ministers to.
Jeffery Funk, Managing Director—Health Care Ministry Association, Placentia
Jeffery will be sharing an insider’s view of healthcare chaplaincy in light of all the new regulations brought about by the Affordable Care Act, in addition to HIPAA rules.
